​Story for both songs​

We were asked to create a hit for Sweden’s 1992 Winter Olympics campaign, possibly a duet with Ola and a famous female artist. Ola called Agnetha Fältskog from ABBA, and she invited us to her home to hear our demos.
I wrote two songs — a ballad and an upbeat track. Ola said that if Sweden didn’t win the Olympics bid, we should still aim for a hit. He and Alexander wrote lyrics, and Anders and I produced the demos.
Agnetha, warm and gracious, said yes to both songs! In the studio, her emotional singing left us speechless. Inspired by her, Ola delivered one of his best performances.

One day Alexander Bard came to my home studio searching for new hits to Army of Lovers. He listened to my demos and found three songs suitible for Army. Anders Hansson produced and Alexander and Jean Pierre wrote the lyrics to ”Give My Life” (but the title was from me), ”Venus And Mars”, and the big hit, specially in Russia: ”Lit de Parade”

No one believed in Andreas Lundstedt or my song “Driver Dagg Faller Regn” except Alexander Bard and me, when we joined Swedish Eurovision 1996. Alexander and I produced it from my demo, and it became No. 2 and a big hit in Sweden.
We recorded a follow-up (“Hey-Ya, Hey-Ya”) and an album, but it was never released due to disagreements with Stockholm Records. This remains one of my favorite songs, especially in Swedish!
THE BOPPERS
When Jerry Williams needed background choir at his scenshow, Ola came with the brilliant idé – engage The Boppers! And I started to write songs for them. All of them became big hits in Sweden and ”Jeannie’s Coming Back” became gigantic!

We had an idea to make a new recording of the Secret Service song ”Just A Friend For The Night” with Swedish singer Carola. She came to our studio and sang better then ever to Anders Hanssons demo background. Afterwards her record company was lyrical but not Carola, she had become religious and the text was immoral she thought.
A famous foreign producer came to her record company and heard the demo, fell in love with the song and wanted to produce it with Carola. She then said yes if she could change the text to something less immoral. Unfortunately she changed the whole feeling of the song…

In 2018, Anders Hansson and I produced “I Won’t Cry” for Belarusian singer Gunesh in the national Eurovision selection. Despite strong vocals and a standout performance, the contest was marred by cheating — Aleksejev, who had broken the rules and sang off-key, won due to corruption.
President Lukashenko defended Aleksejev and criticized us, but in the Eurovision final, Belarus came last.
Justice, in the end, spoke for itself.​

1989 - I had written a new song but when I played it for Ola Håkansson on the studio grand, he got the idea to do it with everyone who was in the studio at the time and that was himself –Håkansson, Anders Hansson, myself Tim Norell and Tommy Ekman from the popgroup Style….hence this name! A pretty nice song actually…
